Immaculate Intervention: The Wars of Humanitarianism | STRATFOR

The new concept of war called Humanitarian War.

From the international intervention in Libya justified with humanitarian reasons and needs to protect civilians from a dictator, to a slow escalation in pursuit of national strategic interests.

In my opinion an excellent overview on recent events in Libya, in comparison with the past international interventions in Somalia and Iraq, with interesting final considerations.

Il nuovo concetto di guerra chiamata guerra umanitaria.Dall'intervento internazionale in Libia giustificato con motivi umanitari e dal bisogno di proteggere i civili da un dittatore, ad una lenta escalation per perseguire interessi strategici nazionali.

A mio parere un'ottima panoramica sui recenti avvenimenti in Libia, con il confronto con precedenti interventi internazionali in Somalia e Iraq e con interessanti considerazioni finali.
